Rob Basconcillo
Bio:
Rob Basconcillo, born June 25, 1987, a 37 year old Filipino-Mexican American artist hailing from Stockton, CA. Rob may use multiple mediums, but what he utilizes most is his expression of emotions through Brutalism and Surrealism. With goals of not only expressing himself, yet aims to help others find a voice; by encouraging others to push themselves, stepping outside of boxes, and being themselves.

Artist Statement:
I am a creator, a day dreamer, a lover of the extremes and obscurities in our world. Despite my troubles, my hardships, and heartaches; with my work, I aim to show my journey to others, to let them know they aren鈥檛 alone. We are all lost and a large portion of my work will show many struggles.
Current and future pieces will be dark, but with a heavy notion of peace, hope, and retribution. To draw a line that connects the lost in a creative way that speaks to the viewers. My goal is to show the world that negative imagery has more to say than what is perceived.
