Artist Statement:��

I wanted people to notice me through my artwork. ��ɫ��Ƶ see myself personally as interesting to talk to and view myself in a negative way, keeping me from interacting with people. I had very few friends growing up, and I never made an honest effort to build relationships with the friends I did have. “That guy is ugly”, “He kinda creepy”, or “He smells weird” pop up in my head whenever I’m out in public, even though they’re probably not true. I can’t claim to know how exactly how people see me. I’m not them, and I never had enough social interactions to understand what others think of me. However, I do know that others see me positively whenever I’m working on an art piece and a viewer compliments my work, it felt like I did something right this time, and inspired me to work harder on the next one. All of my art pieces so far had been assignments for classes and I always try to make my art unique, so I end up bending the rules of the assignments in some way in order to stick out from my peers.
