Equity Action Task Force

A crucial objective in Delta ��ɫ��Ƶ new Strategic Plan is to significantly reduce equity gaps and ensure that the College is serving students from all walks of life. The Equity Action Task Force was formed in August 2023 to develop a coordinated plan and chart a path forward in a way that ties the ��ɫ��Ƶ equity work directly to the Strategic Plan.

Meets 1^stand 3^rd��Tuesdays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

April 14, 2025�� - The EATF met and talked about student visas and the current political climate. Each taskforce gave an update on current projects. There was great interest by all groups regarding the Student Ambassador program. Dr. Cordova let the team know that a recent hire would be the key person for handling the program. Members were encouraged to submit names to see if those students would be eligible. Hosting upcoming wellness events were also discussed. It was suggested that four per month would be best and would include tabling and resources to support each of the taskforces.��

Spring Retreat is scheduled for May 6, 2025.��

April 10,��2024 -��The Wellness/Campus Climate Project Team held a meeting today and began with the Land Acknowledgment and roll call. The Team received an update from Vice President Salters on the Equity Action Task Force Meeting. Vice President Salters reported that the Equity Action Task Force is asking for 2 volunteers to help with disaggregate data for the LGBTQ+ report and for 2 volunteers to sit on the focus group for the Heritage Committee. The Project Team had a reviewed and had discussion on each of the Projects. The Project Team's next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

April 9, 2024��- Vice President Chavez provided an update on the last Equity Action Task Force meeting. There is a Project Team member retreat on 5/21/2024. VP Chavez provided an update on each of the four project tasks for our Policies and Procedures Project Team. Le Phan, Acting Dean of Institutional Effectiveness, Equity and Achievement provided information on data collection. The team will work to provide feedback on our project task information.

January 24, 2024:��Dr. Cordova shared the strategy of developing��a single charter for the first-year experience instead of individual charters. The ACPT evaluated each stage of the student experience and strategized the specific goals and objectives necessary to develop a culturally infused first-year experience for students to ensure inclusivity.
